The Cherry Orchard Movie

I always enjoy watching the movies of the plays in class after reading them. While in some instances I find myself disappointed with how the director portrayed the film, as it often does not live up to the expectations in my head, I also find watching the plays extremely help. Particularly with The Cherry Orchard, I found watching the film helpful because I had a hard time keeping track of the characters while I read the play. It was also nice to visually see how beautiful the cherry orchard was, which made it even more sad when it was cut down. I also liked how the different seasons were depicted so clearly with the cherry orchard, as each season paralleled what was going on in the plot and the fate of the cherry orchard.
